The Ignatpil (Rudnyansk) deposit of granite stone (gabbro and gabbroanorthosite granites) is located in the “Rudnya” tract, between the village of Ignatpil and village Mills of Ovrutsky district, Zhytomyr region. The district center of Ovruch is 25 km north of the deposit, and Korosten is 28 km south. The Ignatpil deposit is made of granites and basic rocks of the Korostensky (Volynsky) pluton, and has been developed since 1930 by an open pit method, with the aim of obtaining crushed stone products.
Geological exploration was carried out several times (in 1936-1937, 1939, 1955, 1961-1968, 1973-1976, 2010). The subject of activity of TDV “Ignatpil Quarry” is:
- extraction and processing of non-mineral raw materials of national and local importance with blasting;
- production of crushed stone and screening for construction works;
